Why use PODERM® Nail Serum for ridged, brittle, split nails?

This serum is recommended for strengthening nails and cuticles weakened by external aggression, nail ageing and the application of conventional, gel or semi-permanent nail varnish. The photos below illustrate the different uses of the serum:

After my false nails have been removed, can I use the PODERM® ridged, brittle, split nails serum?

Yes, it's perfect for nourishing and revitalising nails damaged by frequent manicures. Nails will regain their vitality and strength, and the product starts to work from the very first application.

Are Poderm products natural?

How do you recognise a dry nail?

The dry nail is fragile, sometimes sensitive, and can have an irregular appearance. It may break or split.

What advice do you have for repairing brittle nails that have been weakened by conventional, gel or semi-permanent nail varnish?

Here are some simple tips that can help care for brittle and weakened nails :

  • Wear gloves when washing up or using detergents.
  • Moisturise your nails and hands.
  • Eat a balanced diet to avoid deficiencies and strengthen your nails.
  • Use the Color Strong PODERM® range of hardening varnishes.
  • Regularly apply PODERM® Nail Serum for ridged, brittle, split nails.

Are Poderm products resistant to sunlight and UV rays?

PODERM® nail serums do not offer UV protection due to their 100% natural serum-oil formulation. For UV protection, combine PODERM® Color Care and/or Color Strong nail polishes (excluding top coat, base coat, gloss vitality, and gloss éclat), which enhance the nail’s appearance and protect against UV rays while allowing you to continue your treatment (they do not need to be removed).

What is the drying time for nail serums?

Poderm serums are not nail polishes, so they do not dry. They act on the nail and form a lipid film on the nail surface.
To accelerate absorption, we recommend gently massaging the serum into the nail and surrounding area for a few seconds.

When should you apply nail hardener?

Apply PODERM® Brittle and Ridged Nails Serum in the morning and/or evening to clean, healthy nails in sufficient quantity, paying special attention to the nail contours and grooves.

If you are using the Color Strong strengthening care polish, perform your manicure as usual first. Once the polish is applied, you can use the serum on top — its breathable formula penetrates through the polish to continuously nourish and strengthen the nails.

Can I use a nail hardener every day?

Yes, you can use our PODERM® Brittle and Ridged Nails Serum every day. Unlike other hardeners, it is not abrasive to the nail and is specially formulated for daily use. It gently nourishes and strengthens your nails without the risk of making them fragile. You can apply it morning and/or evening to help restore strong nails.

What to do when nails are soft?

To strengthen soft nails, apply the PODERM® Brittle and Ridged Nails Serum daily, enriched with phyto-keratin. It will deeply nourish and harden your nails. Also, avoid prolonged exposure to water and chemicals to prevent weakening.

Which nail polish strengthens your nails?

To make your nails stronger, you can use our Color Strong strengthening care nail polishes and our Brittle and Ridged Nails Serum. These polishes are specially designed to reinforce and protect nails while forming a protective layer. They are also permeable to the serum, allowing your nails to continue benefiting from nourishing and strengthening properties even under the polish.

Does the brittle and ridged nails serum nourish the cuticles?

Yes, it nourishes both the nail and its surrounding area, making it an excellent 2-in-1 alternative to cuticle oil. If you want to exfoliate dry cuticles, we recommend using it in combination with a cuticle emollient before your manicure.
