The Color Care Base Coat protects, strengthens and nourishes yellow and damaged nails, and ensures your Color Care varnish lasts perfectly. It makes it easier to apply and remove varnish.
Its breathable formula is made from Tea Tree, Biotin and Silicon. It guarantees nails are kept healthy and allows the PODERM Nail Serums to pass through, in order to continue treating one or more damaged nails.
Apply the Color Care Base Coat to a clean, dry nail, on its own or before applying a varnish from the Color Care range. The precise brush follows the nail contour perfectly for protection and a professional result.
WHAT IS TEA TREE?
Tea Tree is an essential oil known for its purifying effects. It is often used to repair and clear nails that are yellow & damaged from fungal nail infections.
Both nourishing and breathable, the PODERM® base coat is quick drying, so that you can rapidly apply the Color Care treatment varnish. This product combination allows the PODERM Serums to pass through, in order to continue treating one or more damaged nails.
Application
- Apply 1 layer of the Base Coat to a clean, dry nail, on its own or before applying a varnish from the Color Care range.
- PODERM Nail Serums can also be used at the same time.
Color Care is suitable for all nails, on both hands and feet. Quick drying.It is recommended you consult a podiatrist at least once or twice a year in order to keep the skin and nails of your feet healthy.

What is the purpose of a base coat?
A base coat serves to protect the nail, and to make it easier to apply and remove coloured varnish. It can also help to prevent spots on the nails and make it easier to apply nail polish.
What can be done if you have fungal nails?
When a nail is yellow or damaged by a fungal nail infection, it is recommended you use the PODERM Fungal Nail PURIFIANT Serum in order to treat the fungal infection. The base coat must be applied to a dry nail, in order to protect the nail before applying the Color Care treatment varnish, which will camouflage and embellish the nails.
How do you use a base coat?
To use a base coat, simply apply a thin and uniform layer to a clean, dry nail, then allow to dry before applying the nail polish. In general, you need to wait approximately 2-3 minutes for the base coat to dry and be ready to accept the nail polish.
Can I use a base coat instead of nail polish?
No, a base coat mustn’t be used instead of nail polish. It must be used as an undercoat before applying nail polish.
My base coat is dry but leaves white spots on my nails. What should I do?
If your base coat leaves white spots on your nails, this may be due to the layer applied being too thick. It is important not to put on too much and to apply a thin, uniform layer.
What type of base coat is the best for taking care of my nails?
