How do you treat a nail damaged by fungal infections and for how long should you treat your nail?

To keep your skin and toenails in good health, we recommend that you see a chiropodist once or twice a year. For both prevention and treatment, PODERM® has developed natural serums to improve the appearance of your nails while respecting their matrix. Nail improvement is visible from the first application of PODERM® Nail Mycosis Serum. It is nevertheless necessary to apply the product until the nail has completely regrown. This can take several months: it takes between one and four months for a fingernail and between six and twelve months for toenails to grow back completely. Booster Serum helps to speed up the treatment of fungal infections and achieve satisfactory results much more quickly.

Can the Booster serum be used on its own?

We recommend using the Booster Serum in addition to the Nail Fungus Serum to reinforce the repair action and regenerate damaged nails more quickly.

How should the products be used in cases of nail fungus?

If you have nail fungus, we recommend the number one treatment on the market in French pharmacies*, PODERM® Nail Fungus Serum. Here's how to use the treatment serum:

1. Preparing the nail:

Clean and dry your nail.

2. Applying the Mycose des ongles serum:

Once the nail is dry, apply twice a day (morning and evening) to the nail and the healthy area around it. We recommend massaging for a few seconds to speed up absorption.

3. For difficult fungal infections, apply the Booster serum:

In cases of advanced fungal infection affecting two-thirds of the nail surface and causing deformities, in addition to the Nail Fungus Treatment Serum, apply the Nail Fungus Booster Serum twice a week before the Nail Fungus Serum.

4. Duration of treatment:

Continue application until the healthy nail has completely grown back, which may take several months depending on the severity and growth rate of the nail (often 4 to 6 months for fingernails, 6 to 12 months for toenails).

What is the difference between Duo Express Nail Fungus and Duo Serum Nail Fungus?

These two duos do not contain the same products and do not address the same need.

The Nail Fungus Express Duo combines the Nail Fungus Serum (8 ml) and the Booster Serum (6 ml) to treat and accelerate the treatment's action. It is particularly recommended for advanced nail fungus.

The Nail Fungus Serum Duo, on the other hand, contains two bottles of the same Nail Fungus Serum. It was designed to support the treatment throughout its duration, as a toenail takes 9 to 12 months to regrow completely. Each serum covers a 3 to 4 month course of treatment. Two serums allow you to support the nail throughout its regrowth, by following the recommended protocol (see instructions). It is the continuity of care that guarantees effectiveness and prevents recurrence.
