PODERM® gel caps for nails damaged by fungus and trauma are specially designed to protect and promote the healing of damaged nails. They contain two caps that protect the nails inside closed shoes, helping them to grow back evenly and smoothly. Available in three sizes, they fit both big and small toes (see size guide).
This product is designed for those with nails damaged by fungus or trauma, as well as for sportspeople exposed to repeated trauma to the feet. It is also useful for people suffering from forefoot deformities such as claw toes, hallux extensus, or hallux rigidus. Gel caps work by absorbing repeated micro-shocks, preventing black nails and protecting the nail and its matrix. They promote smooth, healthy nail regrowth, which is essential to prevent the proliferation of fungus on damaged nails.
Signs that you have a damaged nail include a change in the visual appearance of the nail, degeneration, thickening or detachment of the nail plate, as well as visible trauma such as splits, breaks or blue/black nails.

— CHRISTINE S. (5/5)
Symptoms of a damaged nail include a change in the visual appearance of the nail, such as abnormal colouring (yellow, black, etc.), thickening, separation of the nail, as well as cracks and breaks. You may also see a weakening of the nail, increased pain or sensitivity, and sometimes degeneration of the nail plate. These signs can be caused by trauma, fungal infections, excessive pressure or prolonged rubbing in closed or narrow shoes.
The PODERM® toenail cap is for use when your nails are damaged by fungal infections, or if you have traumatised, black, peeling, brittle, split or broken nails. It is also recommended to protect your nails and their matrix from repeated micro-shocks in closed or narrow shoes.
Before wearing the gel cap, we recommend that you apply PODERM® Nail Fungus Serum to treat nail fungus. An improvement will be visible from the first application, but it is important to continue applying the product until the nail has grown back completely. Allow between 6 and 12 months for your toenails to grow back completely.
