Podiatrist, Founder and CEO of PODERM® Laboratory and PODERM® Podiatry Clinic (Geneva).
A graduate in podiatry in 2009, Maud Falconnet has focused her practice on nail and foot dermatology. Since then, Maud Falconnet has been dedicated to nail pathologies: onychomycosis, dystrophic nails, traumatic nails and congenital deformities.
In consultation, Maud Falconnet sees many patients who have failed previous treatments, for whom the available solutions bring no lasting result. This clinical observation is at the origin of her entire body of research.
Maud is the podiatrist behind the PODERM® protocol, a non-invasive and painless method for the cosmetic treatment of pathological nails, developed at her podiatry clinic in Geneva, Switzerland.
In 2014, Maud Falconnet opened the PODERM® Podiatry Clinic in Geneva. There, Maud Falconnet developed the in-clinic PODERM® care protocol, which improves the appearance of the nail from the very first session, without pain or invasive procedures.
The PODERM® Podiatry Clinic now brings together a team of podiatrists trained by Maud Falconnet in this protocol, specialized in nail and foot skin pathologies.
Faced with the lack of products suited to nail pathologies, Maud Falconnet founded the PODERM® Laboratory in 2015, operated by Swiss Footcare Laboratories Sàrl. The PODERM® Laboratory develops and manufactures nail and foot care products as well as medical devices in Switzerland.
PODERM® care products are distributed in 16 countries. In Europe: France, Monaco, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark and Slovenia. In North America: the United States and Canada. The PODERM® Laboratory is based in Plan-les-Ouates, canton of Geneva.
Maud Falconnet's formulation work addresses a common limitation of nail care: treating the affected area without restoring the structure of the nail itself. A treated but weakened nail remains exposed to recurrence.
PODERM® care products are based on MIMETIX™ technology, developed by the PODERM® Laboratory to act on both dimensions:
PODERM® formulas are 100% concentrated in naturally derived ingredients, with no alcohol or water, to respect the nail's natural pH and prevent it from drying out. They bring together more than 30 ingredients from herbal medicine.
Maud Falconnet leads the research and development activities of the PODERM® Laboratory, from formulation to clinical evaluation.
Under her leadership, the PODERM® Laboratory sponsors clinical investigations conducted by independent investigating physicians and registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, the international public clinical trials registry:
PODERM® care products are also subject to independent skin tolerance assessments. PODERM® Color Care nail polish has obtained the Dermatest® Guarantee seal, confirming its safety and good tolerance on all skin types.
In March 2025, the PODERM® Nail Fungus Pen, designed by Maud Falconnet to improve adherence to onychomycosis treatment, won the AFDP Podiatry Show Innovation Award.
Every year, the PODERM® Laboratory trains podiatrists in the PODERM® protocol through the PODERM® Academy.
The nail care products developed by Maud Falconnet make up the leading brand in the podiatry market in pharmacies in France*.
Two PODERM® products are leaders in their segment:
The Nail Fungus treatment totals more than 14,000 customer reviews on Amazon.fr, making it one of the most reviewed products in its category.
Across the entire range, the PODERM® Laboratory has gathered more than 11,000 positive customer reviews, verified by an independent platform to guarantee their authenticity, available on the PODERM® Customer Reviews page.

The PODERM® Podiatry Clinic, Geneva
Maud Falconnet is a Swiss podiatrist, founder and CEO of Laboratoire PODERM®. A graduate in sports podiatry in 2009, Maud Falconnet specialised in nail pathologies. She opened the PODERM® Podiatry Clinic in Geneva in 2014, then founded Laboratoire PODERM® in 2015.
Maud Falconnet is a qualified chiropodist-podiatrist from the Geneva School of Podiatry and holds a diploma in sports podiatry obtained in 2009. Maud Falconnet then specialised in dermatology applied to the foot and nail. She practises in her clinic in Geneva and trains podiatrists in the PODERM® method.
The PODERM® method is a care protocol developed by podiatrist Maud Falconnet for pathological nails: fungal infections, dystrophic nails, deformities. Carried out in-clinic by a podiatrist trained in the method, it is non-invasive and painless, and improves the nail's visual appearance from the very first session.
PODERM® treatments developed by Maud Falconnet rely on MIMETIX™ technology, which acts on two levels. A protective lipid film forms on the nail and mechanically blocks the development of the fungal infection. At the same time, the formula strengthens the nail's natural defences and supports its repair, for healthy regrowth.
PODERM® formulas designed by Maud Falconnet are made without alcohol or water in order to respect the nail's natural pH and prevent it from drying out. They are 100% concentrated in naturally-derived ingredients and bring together more than 30 ingredients from phytotherapy.
Yes. Laboratoire PODERM® conducts clinical investigations registered with ClinicalTrials.gov, the international public registry, with Maud Falconnet as principal investigator. Two studies are listed there: NCT06214559, on the treatment of plantar and common warts, completed; and NCT06175013, on the treatment of toenail onychomycosis.
Yes. PODERM® treatments, developed by podiatrist Maud Falconnet, are the leading brand by value in the podiatry care market in pharmacies in France, according to GERS data. The PODERM® Nail Fungus Serum is No. 1 in the nail fungus segment, and the PODERM® Color Care varnish is No. 1 in the nail make-up segment.
Maud Falconnet created PODERM® in 2015 after noticing, in her Geneva clinic, that her patients with nail pathologies were experiencing therapeutic failure. The products available did not address these conditions. Maud Falconnet therefore developed treatments based on concentrated naturally-derived active ingredients.
Maud Falconnet practises in Geneva, Switzerland. She founded the PODERM® Podiatry Clinic in Carouge (Geneva), where a team of podiatrists trained by Maud Falconnet treats nail and foot skin conditions. Laboratoire PODERM® is based in Plan-les-Ouates, canton of Geneva.
PODERM® treatments, developed by podiatrist Maud Falconnet, are distributed in 16 countries: France, Monaco, Switzerland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Slovenia, the United States and Canada. They are mainly sold in pharmacies.
