The PODERM® HALLUX VALGUS – BUNION PROTECTION is composed of the PODERM® patented cushioning and PROTECTIVE gel with concentrated ARNICA , as well as breathable PODERM® AIRFORM fabric.
The PODERM® HALLUX VALGUS – BUNION PROTECTION fits the shape of the foot perfectly, creating a protection around the deformed hallux valgus area (1st metatarsophalangeal joint, more commonly known as a “bunion”). It immediately soothes pain, limits friction, distributes pressure and absorbs microshocks to the feet.
- The PODERM® AIRFORM fabric has been specifically designed to allow skin to breathe, sweat to escape and the natural ingredients in the PODERM Gel to pass through. Its polyester fibres are both supple and resistant in order to adapt to every type of flexible shoe.
- The interior cushion made of Patented PODERM® Gel with concentrated ARNICA provides instant relief to soothe, soften and repair the afflicted zone. It prevents calluses and hard skin and promotes their disappearance.
What is HALLUX VALGUS – BUNION? Hallux valgus, also commonly known as the “bunion” is the most frequent pathology of the forefoot. It is a deformation of the metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe. Hallux valgus can be very painful, both in the joint and on the skin.
The PODERM® HALLUX VALGUS – BUNION PROTECTION is one size and fits all shoe types.

Application
The PODERM® HALLUX VALGUS – BUNIONS PROTECTION is worn directly against the skin on either the right or left foot (flip the toe cover).The protection fits to any type of flexible shoe.
The product is reusable. Wash the product by hand with warm water and allow to dry. Do not use for more than 16 hours per day. Do not apply to an open wound. Diabetics and people suffering from blood circulation problems must seek advice from a healthcare professional before use.

What are the symptoms of a hallux-valgus?
Pain present in the big toe joint. Difficulties walking or wearing certain shoes. Appearance of redness and inflammation. Deviation of the big toe inwards and bony protuberance on the outside of the foot.
What causes bunions?
The bone deformation of the hallux valgus manifests in the form of a bump level with the first metatarsal, on the inside of the foot.It’s promoted by several factors such as hereditary factors, age, or wearing high heels or narrow-toe shoes.
Is there anything that can prevent the development of bunions?
There are some simple measures that you can take.They mainly include:
- Wearing flat, wide and flexible shoes;
- Avoiding high heels and shoes with pointed toes.
In order to reduce rubbing between the shoe and the onion, it’s helpful to check that the stitching on the shoes isn’t passing over the afflicted zone (bunion).
When should you use PODERM HALLUX VALGUS – BUNIONS PROTECTION?
The symptoms are recent. There is a need to protect the bunion from pressure and friction.
